On July 8, the “Healthy Journalist Club” was opened in Kyiv. The purpose of the club is to provide journalists with access to events and information aimed at the popularization of a healthy way of life, as well as promoting their participation in the European program “Health 2020” in Ukraine.

The first journalists’ meeting took place at a club of a fitness network “FitCurves”, which functions to form a healthy way of life amidst Ukrainian women. “FitCurves” has been very supportive of such activities.

Vladislav Sila, head of the “Ukrainian New Health Technologies Centers Association”; Oleksander Kutcher, Ukrainian sportsman, powerlifting international class master, setter of 12 world records, chief coach of “FitCurves” network; Tetyana Kazachenko, owner of the “FitCurves” club together with her team - all these had a conversation with the guests of the club.

“We are trying to raise the awareness of Ukrainians in the fundamental health issues, to form the standards of a healthy way of life, and thus assist in the increase of the standard of life of Ukrainian people and prevent the spread of diseases,” - this is how Vladislav Sila, the head of the Association, explained the need for this project. “It is the journalists who form the information field, including the health issues, therefore we will do everything to help them obtain more knowledge in this area”.

At the meeting they voiced the data of an all-Ukrainian investigation of the health condition of the population, as well as information about the project “Health is Simple”. Besides, every journalist could have an express-training, which included free diagnostics and an advice from qualified fitness coaches. At the end of the meeting they tried some of the new FitBalance protein cocktail. Also, the journalists got gifts from the partner of the meeting - the “FitCurves” clubs network.

The organizer of the “Healthy Journalist Club” is the “Ukrainian New Health Technologies Centers” Association, which is the ideological leader and the initiator of social projects aimed at forming the standards of a healthy way of life and providing help for the most vulnerable groups of people. The Association, together with “FitCurves”, has close cooperation with governmental and business structures, clinics, social and non-profit organizations, as well as the media. The purpose of its activity is forming a steady interest among the masses as to the issues of personal and public health and seeking practical ways of changing it for the better.
